Sunday evening in Torrevieja

This blog is suddenly in english, but not for long. The spanish computer at my hotel doesn´t have any Norwegian letters so I’ll use English instead of Norwegian.
It has been a long day, I left Gardermoen at 07:00 am and arrived at Alicante 10:40 am. The trip was nice and calm and I managed to sleep most of the journey.
The rental car, a Renault Megane, was quite a suprise. It was brand new with a diesel engine. This time I rented a car from Europcar and they charged me just half of what Herz did the last time I was here in May, three weeks ago, for the same type of car.
The car was elegant and a pleasure to drive.
Tonight I have been walking around the center and finally I ended up at a small local fish-restaurant, The Pescuador.
I ordered an asparugus soup as a starter and the main course was Bacalao Pil-a-Pil, a very strong and tasty dish.
The dessert was a selection of fine cheese. Together with a bottle of BACH-wine it became an excellent evening.
I think I will eat my dinner there tomorrow as well.
Earlier today I went down to the swimminpool and took a dip.
Afterwords I fell asleep in the sun, but luckily not for long, so I will be sleeping well tonight without any pain from burned skin:-)
The town seems to be full of tourists and all the restaurants are crowded with people.
I´m glad that I will be heading back on Wednesday again. It is not great to be here alone knowing my beloved wife is left back home.
